The "Shopping for Seniors" campaign was an aid initiative organized by our Association in collaboration with ZHP21 during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was created to address the real needs of older adults who, due to increased health risks, sanitary restrictions, and social isolation, had limited access to basic products and services.
The goal of the campaign was to provide seniors with a sense of security and support in their daily lives. Volunteers – members of our Association and Scouts from ZHP21 – assisted with grocery shopping, pharmacy supplies, and other essential errands, delivering them directly to the homes of those in need, while adhering to all applicable sanitary safety regulations.
The project also had an important social dimension. In addition to providing practical assistance, the campaign combated loneliness and exclusion among seniors, giving them the feeling that they were not alone in their difficult situation. For the volunteers, it was an experience of solidarity, responsibility, and intergenerational cooperation. Thanks to the involvement of many people and good cooperation with ZHP21, the "Shopping for Seniors" campaign has become an example of an effective, local aid initiative that has had a real impact on improving the quality of life of seniors during the pandemic and strengthened social ties in our community.
