In response to the outbreak of war in Ukraine, our Association, in collaboration with ZHP21 and with the support of the City of Legnica, co-created and operated the Municipal Receiving and Distribution Point for Refugees from Ukraine. The point became a key humanitarian aid hub in the city, providing efficient and dignified support to those forced to flee their homes.
We accepted, sorted, and distributed donations such as food, clothing, hygiene products, baby equipment, and other essential items. In addition to providing material assistance, the point also provided information and support, helping refugees navigate their new reality.
These activities were made possible thanks to the enormous commitment of volunteers and extensive collaboration with numerous partners – non-governmental organizations, public institutions, local businesses, schools, and residents of Legnica and the surrounding region. These joint efforts demonstrated the power of solidarity, cooperation, and grassroots support in the face of a humanitarian crisis.
